The Chapala Malecon

We have been enjoying Lake Chapala, Mexico since 1993. Originally we planned on staying two months in this fine area, but those plans changed when we got involved in the local community and we stayed four years! Since then we have been coming and going but always returning to Chapala. The people of this area are welcoming and a delight to be around, which is one reason Lake Chapala is the largest retirement destination outside the USA and Canada.

To give our readers a sense of what life is like here we have created a short 9.5 minute video of the action on a Sunday afternoon along the new waterfront known here as the "malecon."

To contrast the weekend action I continued on the Malecon during a week day. To view Part 2  click here
