countries where we have visited.
Mexico makes it easy
and affordable to get
common
drugs at most pharmacies. While you can choose to get a generic, the
name brands are available also.
Take a look below for
some pricing for drugs in the
city of
Mazatlan, Mexico.
Viagra
Prices are marked in Mexican Pesos. You
can find the latest currency exchange rate
here.
As of today, 19 Pesos is about $1USD for
the price per pill.
Cipro antibiotic
For a box of 10 tabs of 500 mg. Cipro
antibiotic, the price is 30 Pesos a box, or about $1.60USD.
Amoxicillin antibiotic
Amoxicillin is another common antibiotic
and for a box of 12 capsules, 500mg each, the price is 30 Pesos a box, or
about $1.60USD.
Losartan is an antihypertensive drug
For those needing a high blood pressure
medication, Losartan is available here. A 50 mg per tab, box of 30 tabs runs
37 Pesos a box, or about $2USD.
Another antibiotic
Ceftriaxona is another antibiotic with a
range of treatments. It is used for respiratory tract infections, urinary
tract infections, pelvic inflammatory disease, bacterial septicemia, bone
and joint infections, and meningitis.
Yikes!
A one-gram pill is 40 Pesos or just over
$2USD per pill.
