Retirement; like your parents, but way cooler
In 1991 Billy and Akaisha Kaderli retired at the age
of 38. Now, into their 4th decade of this
financially independent lifestyle, they invite you
to take advantage of their wisdom and experience. |

Susie's
Juice Shop
Cuernavaca, Mexico
Billy and Akaisha Kaderli
Billy and I were in the
middle of a three-city self-directed tour,
Puebla,
Cuernavaca and
Oaxaca.
Walking everywhere, we saw
these colorful juice bars underneath the Gazebo which served everything under
the sun.
Susie's Juice Bar
Susie serves more than juices here at this
small store.
Tortas, sandwiches, hot dogs, nachos, salads,
specialty coffees, fruit drinks, burritos and pancakes!
Several juice bars under the Gazebo
this Gazebo is six-sided so it allows for six
different food and drink shops to work in this small space.
Next door to Susie's, this juice bar sells
antigripals (power drinks if you want to ward off the flu), green drinks, fruit
smoothies, strawberries and cream, machaquitos (an anise style drink), and
eskamochas (a liquid-y fresh fruit cocktail).
By the way, this Gazebo was brought to
Cuernavaca in 1888 from England!
Tortas, nachos,
sandwiches and drinks
These two larger signs list
various style of sandwiches and tortas, along with popular nutritious drinks.
Ingredients listed for
popular drinks
The California has melon,
apple and banana.
The Nutricha is fresh sweet
fruit, rompope (an eggnog style drink) and cereals.
The Sexapil is made from
fresh sweet fruits, peanuts and wheat germ.
La Bomba is fresh
sweet fruit, eggnog, cereals and chocolate.
Yogureta is strawberries,
bananas, yogurt and granola.
Egg burrito
On the drizzly morning we left
Cuernavaca, we purchased egg burritos and fresh juice to fortify ourselves
for our bus
trip back to Puebla.
Billy and Susie
Billy loves to have his
photo taken with charming young women.
Susie was very good at her
job and was both open and friendly.
