NOT BORN WITH A SILVER SPOON

Billy and Akaisha Kaderli

A mid priced restaurant in Naples, Florida, the Silver Spoon Café, offers a diverse collection of menu choices in a pleasant, clean and upbeat atmosphere.

Upon entering,  the black and white checkered tablecloths set in comfortable surroundings are immediately noticeable, and our party of five was greeted and quickly taken to our table.

The prompt server returned with our ice teas, and proceeded to describe in detail, the menu suggestions. Fresh baked bread loaves were served with an herb butter, while we waited for the entrees.

The potato cheese soup was a hit. Creamy white potatoes rich with cheese, bacon and scallions, this meal was both delicious and hearty.

The sandwich with grilled Portobello mushroom marinated in white wine and garlic caught our table's attention. The boastful mushroom, topped with pesto mayonnaise, roasted red peppers and a dollop of goat cheese,

                          A NICE RELAXING SETTING

was served open faced on a toasted French baguette.  Memorable, savory, satisfying.

Another item catching our interest was a Bleu Cheese Pepper Burger.  A black peppercorn encrusted burger, grilled and topped with bleu cheese, lettuce, tomato, red onion and pickles, this menu option caused us to pause, and more than once.  This was hard to pass up!

HEARTY POTATO CHEESE SOUP

However, we wanted something different, not a burger or sandwich, so we ordered the Smoked Chicken Pasta pie. Called a "pie", there was no pastry anywhere in sight, described as a casserole, this mental image did it no justice at all. The penne pasta was tossed with roasted garlic alfredo sauce, smoked chicken, mushrooms, roasted red peppers, scallions and mozzarella cheese. This delectable combination was then baked in individual shallow bowls and served piping hot. The smoky and full flavored combination brought smiles of approval to our faces; another excellent choice!

Our iced teas were refilled often, without having to strain for the attention of our thoughtful server. A completely delightful experience, and most favorably recommended.
