THE LEGEND OF THE CHEESEBURGER
"Almost everyone knows where the hamburger originated. But not
many people know how the cheeseburger was discovered. Legend has it that a
man named Hamilton Burger was once grinding sausage in his kitchen just
outside Nice, France, when he accidentally fed some lean meat into the
grinder. Noting his mistake, he put the ground beef onto a shallow plate
and stored it in the cooler.

Later he returned to find a large wheel of
cheese had slipped from the self above and compressed the beef into a Judy…no…a
Patty, which he named after his half sister Patricia, who married Lord
Melt. That evening Ham, as his friends called him, put the Patty in a
skillet and cooked it. Surprisingly, a small piece of cheese had broken
off and landed on the beef. As it cooked, the cheese melted over the
Patty. When Ham saw what happened, he exclaimed, "Cheesh !"
Just then, a handsome young delivery man from the newly formed
Nice Bun and Roll Co. knocked on the door, offering samples of his
products. Patty shouted "Nice Buns !"
The rest is history. Ham Burger and Patty Melt had invented a
remarkable new food sensation…The Cheesh Burger. And shortly there after
they packed up their families, moved to Sanibal Island, Florida and opened
the first Cheeburger Cheeburger restaurant."
